Chief Internal Auditor
A leading Public Sector Corporate Company operating in the Renewable Energy sector, based in Islamabad, is seeking a dynamic, highly qualified, and experienced professional for this position.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for providing independent, objective assurance and evaluating the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within the organization, including but not limited to the following:
- Prepare and execute the company's Annual Internal Audit Plan.
- Ensure absolute compliance with the Public Sector Companies (Corporate Governance) Rules, 2013 and other statutory frameworks.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to company business and operational procedures.
- Detect and report instances of fraud, waste, or misuse of public funds.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct special investigations and audits as directed by the Board of Directors.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
- Member of a recognized body of professional accountants; or
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Control Auditor (CICA); or
- Master's degree in Finance from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
Experience
- Minimum 08 to 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in audit, risk management, and designing internal controls.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in public sector corporate entities.
Compensation & Tenure
- Contract: Initial one-year contract, extendable based on satisfactory performance.
- Package: A competitive, market-based remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience.
